“ Had to up date this review. We went to Mastellos last night. It was well worth the wait. The food was amazing. Great service as well . Couldn't have gone better. We will definitely be back. ”
“ We love this place and make sure to take our guests there. I got the steak which is always amazing. Very tasty and cooked to perfection. The rest of the table got short rib ravioli and veal Picatta. All excellent! Staff is wonderful too! Plus if Vincent is there, he makes a point to stop at the table and see how everything is.. ”
“ We were very impressed by Mastello. They did a great job serving our large table. Everyone was very happy with their food. The seafood tower was a great way to start the meal, it was so fresh. I had the filet mignon and it was perfect, fantastic sear and they hit the temp right on. Everyone was excited about the desserts. Clean, spacious dining room. I would definitely return. ”
“ Tonight it's Mastello's. We were thinking Ocean Prime but at 100.00 an a la carte entree and 26.00 for soup, you could spend 400.00 for dinner for 2 with drinks. Uh, no.......Love Connors, but they don't have the delicious bread, and the outrageously delicious creamed Parmesan spinach. I really feel like this could be the best food in Ft Myers. Service is always great, and for food of this quality the price reflects that . Steaks are aged and cooked to perfection. Shrimp cocktail has ample size shrimp and a zesty sauce. Every detail from the taste, to the presentation to the service is carefully executed. If this place was in Naples , I am guessing it would be pricier than it is. From Italian, to seafood to steaks , everything is premium quality, melts in your mouth and you barely need a knife to cut. Staff makes sure you have what you need, never an empty water glass, cocktail glass or dirty dish laying around. Owner and manager active making sure guests are enjoying the dining experience. And it's always pretty perfect.Fabulous service tonight by Katherine, owner came by to make sure dinner was to our liking. That's how you run a first rate restaurant and why Mastello's is perfection each time we dine there. ”
“ We stopped in tonight for our first date night since having 2 under 2. Elllie was FANTASTIC, she's sweet, hospitable, and attentive. Genuinely authentic personality. The Tomahawk short ribs were phenomenal and nothing short of a dream come true. ”
“ This place is a must add for dinner options. If this place advertised a little more it would be packed because the food is that good. Luckily for the customers it has not been found by most, I had no idea. Do yourself a favor and check this new restaurant out. Very open, clean and modern. Yes this pricing is high, but it is comparable to other fine dining options. As long as the food is amazing I can justify the cost. The oysters Rockefeller is the best I've ever had- a must You're welcome in advance. Well done! ”
“ I truly enjoyed my meal and beverage. They had Peroni beer on tap, which isn't very easy to find so that was nice. I came in a large group of 14 people and the service was really good even with that large amount of people. However, for my budget. This restaurant is a celebration restaurant. It was hard at the time to find an entrée under $30. The pasta dish I had was either $28 or $32. ”
“ Mastello Ristorante is under new ownership, same owner as Terra Nostra. The restaurant serves Prime American Wagyu, aged steaks, seafood along with an interesting Italian pasta selection. The décor is modern. The dining room is split in to two with a bar/lounge area on the back wall. Both inside and outside tables are available. Tables are well spaced out with piped music but you can still carry a conversation! You can start off with oysters, shrimp cocktail, Carpaccio or go full scale with a Grande Seafood Tower for $120. Only three salads are available but more appetizers like Oyster Rockefeller, Burrata, Fried Calamari, charred Octopus or a Charcuterie Board. Under pastas they have Gnocchi all Vodka to Braised Short Ravioli. Of course, there is good selection of seafood, chicken, lamb and veal. The star are the steaks from Prime, Wagyu and aged steaks. For the Memorial Weekend, Mastello has a Prime Kansas City Special. Our hearts were set in Italian cuisine. After munching on hot bread, and enjoying our Espresso Martinis, Sangria and beers. We ordered Chicken Parms, Eggplant Lasagna, Rigatoni Bolognese with Burrata cheese, and Salmon Piccata. Everything we had was superb! The Salmon Piccata was exceptionally well grilled. The lemon butter, wine sauce with capers was so good, I mix my penne into the sauce. The Chicken Parms and Eggplant Lasagna portion were huge! We saved room for Tiramisu and Creme Brulee. The staff are professional and attentive. New owner did a great job of relaunching Mastello. In fact, the new owner, Vincenzo Cacciatore, stop by the table and chatted to ensure we enjoy our meal! I had my eyes on grilled Octopus and Risotto De Mare or lobster tail, scallops , shrimps and clams over Risotto for my next visit. ”
“ Great place for a pre-theatre dinner at the Mann. Very open and airy dining room. This is both an Italian restaurant and Steakhouse. Started with the grilled octopuss, fantastic dish and lots to share, $19. We split an entree based on our fantastic waitress recommendation. Short ribs ravioli in a mushroom sauce. Very tasty and the largest raviolis I've ever seen. More then enough to share. We really liked the dish however my wife felt it was a bit salty. Warm bread was served and it was great for dipping in the entree. Overall, we really enjoyed dinner. Only caution, it is VERY pricy, very! The Steakhouse menu looks great but be prepared for NYC prices. We had a 5:30 reservation with gave us plenty of Tim for a relaxing dinner and make the show (Hamilton) ”
“ Friendly service and tasty food are always a great combination! Flying into Florida late, we walked into the door 10 minutes before closing and of course, the spacious but nice dining room was mostly empty at this point. We asked if they'd still be willing to serve us, and they had zero hesitation in saying yes. We were promptly seated and, of course, did our best to order as quickly as possible, though we never felt any rush from our server. Our server was very friendly and helped us make our decision by suggesting some great entrees to try. We ended up ordering crispy calamari, a rigatoni bolognese, and my personal favorite, the gnocchi al vodka sauce. The calamari was incredibly crispy amd the sauces they were served with made a great combo. The rigatoni was tasty and meaty but as I stated before, the gnocchi was phenomenal! Some gnocchi I've had before tasted overly potatoey, but this one was not like this at all. The sauce was nice and thick and creamy and oh so tasty! We ended up ordering a second one right away because of our enjoyment of the dish! If you're looking for a tasty Italian restaurant and something that is open later than the other Italian joints in the area, I would highly suggest giving this place a try! ”
